Q: What is window tinting?
A: Window tinting is the process of applying a thin film to the windows of a vehicle to reduce glare, heat, and UV radiation. It can also enhance privacy and improve the overall appearance of the vehicle.
Q: Is window tinting legal?
A: Yes, window tinting is legal in the UK, but there are regulations regarding the level of tint allowed on different windows.
For this reason we only tint the rear windows and back windscreen.
Q: Can I tint my front windscreen or drivers window?
A: No, the front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light to pass through,
and the front side windows must allow at least 70%.
Cars made after 1985 have factory tinted glass which is already close to the legal limit,
so we cannot apply any additional tint to these windows.
A clear film can be added if you want to add protection from shattered glass or reduce glare and UV rays without changing the appearance of the glass.
